The Boy on Cinnamon Street by Phoebe Stone

The Boy on Cinnamon Street is the story of 13-year-old Louise, who has changed her name to Thumbelina because she is so small. She now lives with her grandparents on the other side of the town she grew up in. She used to have a mom and dad, but she doesn't any more. She used to live in a nice house in a great neighborhood, but she doesn't any more. She used to love gymnastics, but she doesn't any more. She used to be the life of the party and have tons of friends, but she doesn't any more. Now her only friends are Reni and Reni's brother Henderson.

Louise/Thumbelina cannot remember when everything changed.

One evening, she orders a pizza. This simple act will change her life forever, and set in motion a series of events that will trigger a flood of memories. But is this a good thing?

Check out this sad but heartwarming story about love, loss and life.
